Cassini: The Dragon Storm

This image is a false-color, near-infrared image of Saturn's southern hemisphere. The "dragon storm" exhibits bursts of radio static of unknown origin, though it is likely related to huge, lightning-like discharges. Click on the image to pop up a full-resolution (1006×1006) version.

(I processed the JPL image a little in Photoshop to remove noise and jpeg pixelation.)
